You're Not Unlucky In Runescape (And Why That's A Problem)

Have you ever grinded a boss in Runescape like crazy, looking for that one specific drop you need for your account progression, or your ironman, or just for some good old GP, but can't get it? Have you ever wanted to post to your clan chat, Runescape reddit, or discord to get some of that "online luck"? I'm here to tell you that for most people frustrated with their luck, you aren't ACTUALLY all that unlucky, at least by some reasonable definitions. Even still, it often FEELS like we're unlucky when going through a drought, so what gives? In this video I use the Gate Of Elidinis boss to illustrate the misalignment between when players begin to feel unlucky, and when they actually become unlucky. In particular, I suggest that players begin to feel unlucky far earlier than they actually become unlucky, which makes the game feel bad in certain instances. My suggestion to fix this involves a mix of random drops with guaranteed drops at certain kill thresholds, to hopefully help the player feel less unlucky as they continue their grinds. I hope you liked this video, if you did, please comment, like, and subscribe, as it helps the channel a ton!
