GOD'S WILL SHOULD BE OUR PRIORITY | MIDWEEK SERVICE | MAKE JESUS FAMOUS

Wednesday 17th June 2026~Midweek service 1 Corinthians 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. One of the greatest revelations a believer can have is that Jesus was the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, and before man fell, God had already prepared the answer through the blood of Jesus. The cross was neither man's idea nor the devil's idea but God's. When man lost fellowship with God through sin, God immediately began His plan of redemption. Jesus willingly gave Himself on the cross, carried our sins, bore our pain, and paid the price to bring us back to the Father. In the cross lies our healing, deliverance, restoration, liberty, and everything mankind lost when he fell. It was through Jesus' sacrifice that fellowship was restored, and the way back to God was opened. 1 John 1:3 "...that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ." Jesus did not die primarily to give us houses, cars, money, fame, husbands, etc because men had those things before He came; Jesus died to restore the fellowship which man had lost in the garden of Eden. Fellowship with God is the most powerful thing you can ever have, and it must become the number one priority of every believer. The cry on our altar should not be for things but for God's will and purpose to find fulfillment in our lives, because when it becomes our focus, everything else begins to find its proper place. John 6:38 Jesus came to do the will of the Father, and He has left us here to do the same. God's will and purpose define everything: the people He brings into our lives, the opportunities He gives us, and the resources He places in our hands are all meant to help us to fulfill His will. That is why every believer must discover God's purpose and remain aligned with it. Matthew 6:25-33 The desires for food, clothing, shelter, and provision are not evil because our heavenly Father knows that we need those things. The only challenge is making the desires our focus other than God's will. As believers, our agenda should be the Father's business and burden. When the Kingdom becomes your priority, God takes the responsibility of providing what is needed to fulfill His purpose. God demonstrated this in the wilderness when He provided everything that the children of Israel needed: they had no visible source of income, yet their clothes didn't wear out, and their shoes remained on their feet. When the zeal for God's house consumes you, many things that you are praying for will begin to look for you because God knows they will be used for Kingdom advancement. Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." When God's purpose becomes our focus, the things that the heathens run after will begin to follow us because God is good: He knows what we need and how to provide for it at the right time. Many believers spend most of their prayer time asking for things, yet God is looking for people whose hearts are consumed by His purpose. The cry of the altar should be, "Lord, let Your Kingdom come. Let Your will be done in my life." When our hearts become aligned with His purpose, our relationship with God moves beyond a circumstantial love based on what He gives us and becomes a genuine pursuit of His presence. God is raising a generation that loves His purpose more than personal ambition and His presence more than His gifts, and as they remain focused on His Kingdom, He will take responsibility for everything necessary to accomplish His will in their lives. May the Holy Spirit restore our fellowship with the Father, may the zeal of God's house consume us, and may His purpose become our pursuit, His will—our desire, and His Kingdom—our priority.
