Systematicity of Scientific Knowledge, the Way Out of Epistemic Bubbles and Echo Chambers

This academic article, titled “Systematicity of Scientific Knowledge, the Way Out of Epistemic Bubbles and Echo Chambers,” was authored by Mohammad Ali Ashouri Kisomi and Maryam Parvizi. The paper addresses the challenges posed by the Post-Truth era, specifically focusing on two related phenomena that deny scientific knowledge: the Epistemic Bubble and the Echo Chamber. The Post-Truth era is characterized as a time when “truth” has lost its value, and public opinion is shaped instead by personal feelings and interests. The Epistemic Bubble exposes individuals to unbalanced arguments by eliminating knowledge outside the bubble, while the Echo Chamber operates by actively making external knowledge—including scientific knowledge—unreliable. Crucially, both phenomena share the common goal of building trust in knowledge within their specific community and promoting distrust of scientific knowledge. https://sscdt.ir/en/systematicity/
