NATO and defense leaders from roughly 50 countries are meeting at Ramstein Air Base, the latest in a series of arms-pledging conferences since Russia invaded Ukraine nearly 11 months ago. Sviatoslav, a Ukrainian serviceman operating a tank near Bakhmut, in the country's east said international support to Ukraine has been "good", but that much more was needed in the war against Russia. "We are dealing with the enemy that has quantity, not quality. We should work out a balance between quality and quantity. Ramstein is a good thing, but we need more equipment," said the 28-year old fighter. The main focus of the meeting at Ramstein Air Base is on whether Germany will allow countries in Europe that use its Leopard 2 tanks to re-export them to Ukraine. Government sources in Germany have said it would move on the Leopard tanks issue if the United States agreed to send Abrams tanks to Ukraine, though a government spokesperson on Friday publicly contradicted that view.
