As part of a Pearl Jam pre-show VIP party, I got the opportunity to take a tour INSIDE Fenway Park's legendary Green Monster. This is where the manual scoreboard in left field is operated. This was a very cool opportunity to walk inside the same space where so many of baseball's greats have strolled through. The only disappointment was the preponderance of graffiti-like scrawls from others (fans, not players) on these hallowed walls. This site is a historical landmark, and it seemed like it was desecrated. If there were any autographs from the likes of Ted Williams or Carl Yaz, they were obscured either by time, or the careless moves of those who came after. Still, it was so much fun to get to explore these little-seen confines. Cross that one off the bucket list!
