Elvis Presley - Doin' The Best I Can - Movie version, Re-edited with RCA Stereo audio

Despite being placed in a perfectly plausible scenario, one of Elvis' finest vocal performances is almost ruined by the screenplay of his 1960 movie "G.I. Blues". After the rousing title song, his character, Tulsa Maclean, and his combo, is interrupted about three quarters of the way through "Doin' The Best I Can" by Mac who want's to hear something else, ironically Elvis' re-recorded version of "Blue Suede Shoes" on the jukebox. The song was recorded by Elvis on 27 April 1960 at RCA's Hollywood Studios and the thirteenth and final take was chosen as the RCA master. Paramount chose it as the movie master and alteration necessary for it's insertion into the movie were undertaken later that day. Although the original movie version was cut short due to the aforementioned interruption, the song carries on after this in order to have the song complete. As with all of these videos, to get the most out of the re-edited audio, I highly recommend you use ear /headphones and turn the volume up as much as you dare!
