Day 6: Exaltation of the Holy Cross Novena—Consecration to Jesus through Mary

Join us Friday September 5th, 2025 for a new novena in preparation for the Feast of the Holy Cross. Sept 5-13. This feast is pivotal in the story of St. Francis and his observance of St. Michael's Lent. Around the Feast of the Holy Cross, St. Francis received the holy Stigmata (Feast day Sept 17th). Let us use this time to advance in our knowledge and practice of the Spiritual Life. We shall read from Fr. Adolphe Tanquerey's book, The Spiritual Life on the Role of Christ in the Spiritual Life and how He provides for us to fight the Spiritual Battle. We will also sing the hymn - Vexilla Regis each day - in my opinion, the best Vespers hymn of the entire liturgical year.
