She spoke to FRANCE 24 on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. Over 400,000 Rohingyas have fled recent violence in Burma and crossed the border into Bangladesh, half of them children. Helle Thorning-Schmidt describes the "devastating stories" her NGO has heard from youngsters.
