Watch me struggle to get this thing out of my engine and the EXTREMELY harrowing ending! I was using my digital endoscope camera to look into my engine for an update on how clean the pistons are from Water/Methanol Injection*, when a piece of the camera became detached and fell into the cylinder I was looking in. It was an aluminum, threaded ring that protects the threads on the camera for attachments. This was the only time I've ever had debris end up in a cylinder. I had to come up with a way to get it out or it was time to remove the head! I used the hook attachment on the digital endoscope as well as blasting compressed air into the cylinder to move the ring around until it was in a position, I could snag it with the hook and pull it out. Good thing it was something "easy" to grab.... Thanks for watching! *This is a 2013 F150 with the 3.5L Ecoboost and 65,400 miles on it. The methanol injection has been on for 2 months, coming on at 4 psi, spraying through dual 4gph nozzles - It's a Snow Performance kit and injected through a throttle body plate. I run straight -20F washer fluid.
