T'puram: Considering the emergency situation, the State has sought more help and support from the Centre, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi who had visited the flood-hit state, was apprised of the need for additional helicopters, boats and security equipments. The PM has assured us of help and instructed the officers to do the needful, CM said after his meeting with Modi.Pinarayi said the PM tried sincerely to comprehend the problems faced by the State and that he could convince Modi of the gravity of the situation.
