The museum is in Lone Pine, CA, near the famous Alabama Hills where tons of movies and commercials have been filmed. I recommend seeing the museum first and then going on to the Alabama Hills. We spent about an hour but definitely could've spent more time. The staff at the museum are very friendly and helpful. You can get a map from them to Movie Rd and filming locations when you're finished.
