The New Basket Boom: Convex Baskets

In this video, we take a look at the newest fad in espresso baskets: convex, or variable diameter, baskets. These first came out by Sworks a few years ago with an initial diameter of 58 and shrinking down to 32mm at the exit. This has been praised anecdotally as improving greatly the forgiveness of eespresso brewing. Here, I discuss my 1 year+ of experience with it and what my internal testing has revealed about these baskets.
