I borrowed a set of corner weight scales from a friend of a friend to weigh the car. (1377kg by the way - still way too heavy.) After doing a string alignment in the garage, I took the time to get the cross weights exactly equal, and reset the rear ride height a little lower as well to reduce rear roll. The result was a 1.5 second a lap gain in lap time. The same tyres were used, so they were about 50 laps older and pretty much used up. The power and aero was exactly the same as the previous test day. My previous best lap was a 1:09 flat. I did about 20 low 1:09 laps but could not go faster regardless of shock and aero changes. After the corner balance I reeled off a bunch of 1:08 laps and a 1:07.6. I am confident with better tyres the car would be deep into the 1:06s.
