Wood Spheres with golf ball inserted - Laminated and Character Spheres.wmv

The sphere was turned on the lathe; then a hole was turned in it for the golf ball. The hole for the golf ball is undersized so that it does not fall out. The caricature was carved on the golf ball before it was inserted. Both spheres are one piece turnings. This is an ideal way to display that special golf ball or a gift for your golfing friend.
