Climate Prediction Center is now evaluating the chances for a rare Super El Nino as westerly winds continue to dominate the Pacific basin and increased tropical action out there helps pump more warmth eastward. There will be implications on hurricane season, and forecasts will continue to evolve over the next few months. The Pacific ocean is going to get hot, and I want to discuss exactly what all this heat could and will likely do to our atmosphere.
