Since Kratos knows that Heimdell is a threat to Atreus and he might not be able to beat him unless he has some edge on him. So for that reason he decides to forge a new weapon as suggested by the dwarfs. First he has to make his way through Myrkr Tunnels so that he can go towards the forge where the real action is going to take place but first he has to go through the mazes and puzzles of the Myrkr Tunnels.
