Moving a Hive a Short Distance - Beekeeping for Beginners

So I needed to move a hive in my yard a short distance - maybe 30 yards. Closed it up, strapped it down, and moved it last night at dark. Placed a couple of sticks near the entrance and opened it back up. Next day - This 4 minute video shows the results of my moving it this short of a distance.
