Every Highlights around the world of the Los Angeles Lakers On July 20, 2026, it was widely reported that the Los Angeles Lakers agreed to sign 6'7" forward Arthur Kaluma to a two-way contract. The Lakers rewarded Kaluma with this deal following a highly impressive performance in the 2026 Las Vegas Summer League. He led the Lakers with an average of 18.6 points per game, shooting a highly efficient 60.9% from the floor and 50% from three-point range. A major highlight of his summer run was a 34-point explosion against the Dallas Mavericks, where he connected on six three-pointers. The 24-year-old went undrafted out of Texas in 2025 and originally joined the Lakers on an Exhibit 10 contract. He spent the 2025–26 season playing for the Lakers' G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, where he averaged 13.8 points and 4.6 rebounds in 24.4 minutes across 40 games. Because the Lakers' three two-way roster spots are currently occupied by Chris Mañon, AK Okereke, and Peter Suder, the franchise will need to waive one of those players to officially finalize Kaluma's signing.
