The collaboration integrates Dolphin’s low-power IP with HCLTech’s SoC design capabilities to build high-efficiency chips that reduce operational power consumption. Logistics giant Delhivery successfully conducted a trial of its autonomous VTOL drone in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, delivering medicines over 12 km in just 12 minutes, compared to 40 minutes by road. The prototype drone can carry up to 5 kg and travel 60–90 km per charge, offering a futuristic solution for urgent medical deliveries in rural and semi-urban regions. A larger 20 kg capacity model is under development, aimed at strengthening rural supply chains, supporting e-commerce expansion, and creating new job opportunities in drone operations.
