Sunday Morning Piano Worships #1

Sunday Morning Piano Worships #1

Welcome to this new series, "Sunday Morning Piano Worships." It is my goal to upload about 10 minutes of piano music each week that point our minds and hearts to Christ. Throughout this weekly series, I'll be featuring some of my favorite piano arrangers and their arrangements, along with some of my "arrangements", which are generally just sitting at the piano and playing through a hymn. One of the best pieces of advice I received, especially as a church musician, is to play the words. When we play the words and immerse ourselves in meditation and worship, the music and phrasing will follow. How that applies to us will vary, but I'll also be providing the lyrics/verses I was meditating on when playing through the arrangements in the video. Over on Patreon, my goal is to eventually provide additional content and support for listeners and church pianists. I will provide updates as I get that up and running. Meanwhile, please feel free to comment on your favorite hymns, and I'll do my best to incorporate those into a future video. Please be sure to "like" and "subscribe" for additional content. God is at your side; no longer dread the fires of unexpected sorrow. Chorus God, You are my God, and I will trust in You and not be shaken. Lord of peace, renew a steadfast spirit within me to rest in You alone, to rest in You alone. V2 Still, my soul, be still, do not be moved by lesser lights and fleeting shadows. Hold onto His ways, with shield of faith against temptation's flaming arrows. V3 Still, my soul, be still, and do not forsake the truth you learned in the beginning. Wait upon the Lord, and hope will rise as stars appear when day is dimming. Chorus --- What a great reminder for us all to remain still in the Lord. He is our strength and always at our side. And what better way than to start off the new year praying for the Lord to renew a steadfast spirit within us! Psalm 51:10 4:09 - How Great Thou Art (arranged by Ryan Butler) Words by Carl Boberg; translated by Stuart K. Hine Music by Swedish folk hymn; adapted by Stuart K. Hine V1 O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made, I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, Thy pow'r throughout the universe displayed! Chorus Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee; How Great Thou art, how great Thou Art! Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee; How Great Thou art, how great Thou Art! V2 When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart! Then I shall bow in humble adoration And there proclaim, my God, how great Thou Art! Chorus -- May we boldy proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and give praise to the One who has created us and gave His life for us so that we may have eternal life! Truly, How GREAT Thou Art! Romans 1:16-17 7:32 - And Can It Be? (arranged by Kim Collingsworth - no one plays it better than Kim herself:    • And Can it Be  ) Words by Charles Wesley Music by Thomas Campbell V1 And can it be that I should gain An interest in the Savior's blood? Died He for me, who caused his pain? For me, who Him to death pursued? Chorus Amazing love! How can it be That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me? Amazing love! How can it be That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me? V2 Long my imprisoned spirit lay Fast bound in sin and nature's night; Thine eye diffused a quick'ning ray, I woke, the dungeon flamed with light; My chains fell off, my heart was free; I rose, went forth and followed Thee! Chorus -- We are so undeserving of Christ's love, but He died for us, enduring our deserved eternal suffering, and rose from the grave, defeating death and conquering the grave. His salvation is a free gift when we repent and fully trust in Him - a personal relationship with Christ. Do you know the Savior? John 3:16
