We tried Atta Biscuits first time at Home without Oven | wheat Coconut Cookies |

karare biscuit or homemade aata cookies.. Delicious biscuits which are easy to make at home. I ate them so many times, i wonder how to make them at home.. I read few blogs and watch some videos then i thought lets give it a try.. here we are with the delicious homemade biscuits/cookies. Receipe: 1/2 cup - ghee or unsalted butter or oil 1 cup. - wheat flour 1/2 cup - powdered sugar or bura or brown sugar 1/2 cup - dessicated coconut 2-3 tbs - milk( accordingly) A pinch of baking soda Few dry fruits for garnishing (optional) process: 1. add the ghee and sugar to a mixing bowl and wishk thoroughly for 1-2minutes. 2. now add the flour/atta and mix again 3. add dedicated coconut to it. try to make a dough. mesh properly in between palms. 4. leave it aside and cover it. Now we make the traditional oven on gas.. Take a heavy bottom pan/kadhai and put it over gas on sim flame. pour a bowl/katori of salt(which we use for food at home). let preheat for 5-7minutes. Note: you can reuse this salt for this kinda baking without oven, do not use it to eat in any food. reuse for baking only. Lets make the biscuit... 5. add the baking soda to the dough and mix it. add a teaspoon of room temperature milk to it. mesh with palms until its a soft dough and no cracks while making desired shape biscuits. 6. take a plate, give dough the desired shape for biscuits, round, rectangle, square or use the cookies cutter for other shape like star, bear etc. you can put dryfruits pn top and press a bit so that it can stick to biscuit like i put cashews here. 7. place them distantly over steel plate . 8. in preheated kadhai, put a stand/bowl over salt, place the biscuit plate over it, cover it. 9. let them cook for 25-30minutes. (timing depends on the thickness and size of biscuit) and bake the remaining biscuits like this too. first lot of 7 biscuit took 27-28minutes to bake as they were thick. then, I made small size and thin biscuit. put them to bake. it took only 7-8minutes to cook. switch off the gas once you see a golden color crust on the bottom of biscuit, let them cool down into the kadhai itself. after half an hour or so, take them out, server them with the tea/coffee/milk or as a dessert after lunch/dinner. these are perfectly crunchy and crust cookies. i like them a lot and they are delicious. Make them at home as this is a delicious and easy receipe.
