On two separate occasions, Roach — along with many observers — believed he had done enough to win grueling 12-round bouts, only to be left without a decision both times. Roach (25-1-3, 10 KOs) and Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz (28-3-2, 18 KOs) battled to a majority draw, with scores of 115-111 Cruz and two cards even at 113-113, in their WBC interim super lightweight title clash Saturday night at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio. The result marked Roach’s second consecutive majority draw in 2025. Earlier this year in March, the former WBA super featherweight champion fought Gervonta “Tank” Davis to a 12-round stalemate in New York — a bout overshadowed by the controversial no-call on Davis’ knee. “All I’m asking for is a fair shot,” Roach said after the fight. “I felt like I edged it. A close win, but a win. This is some bulls***.
