EXCLUSIVE: Nashville Firefighter May Have Played Shocking Role in Downtown Assault - Sky Arnold

Christopher Calvin is facing Aggravated Assault charges and possible disciplinary action from the Fire Department for allegedly hitting a security guard at a downtown bar with a bottle. Owner Doug Green is the husband of FOX17's Stacy McCloud. Green tells us he was escorting that firefighter and his brother out of the club early Sunday morning after a disturbance in the bathroom and he says things turned violent the moment the brother stepped out the door. Doug Green says that punch couldn't have been more unexpected. What happened next was an even bigger shock.Green says both attacks came from Coley Calvin. He says moments later Calvin's brother, off duty Nashville firefighter Christopher Calvin, jumped in too. Bar security eventually stopped both brothers, who are now facing Aggravated Assault charges. That may just be the beginning for Christopher Calvin. The Nashville Fire Department is now investigating to determine if there's a need for further disciplinary action against the 5 year veteran. We've not been told what type of discipline the Department may be considering, but Green says the public should be outraged.We were unable to reach Christopher Calvin for comment on this story. We're told he works out of a Madison station and is on leave with time off he actually requested before the incident.
