EDC Trauma Kit by Gomez-Training

Following up the Every Day Carry video, I go into detail on the pocket trauma kit. This kit is designed to address the two major issues that result in preventable death from interpersonal violence, namely Critical Blood Loss and Chest Compromises. It consists of a flat pack of QuikClot Combat Gauze for wound packing, an O.D. triangular bandage for use as a TQ, a NARP 14g needle for decompressing a tension pneumothorax and Duct Tape. When coupled with the D-ring and split ring from my keys, the cravat becomes a tourniquet. The plastic wrap from the triangular bandage & the duct tape provide an occlusive dressing for sealing an open pneumothorax. The Carabiner/Key Ring Tourniquet was shown to me by my good friend, Doc K [an active duty SF Medic]. He was introduced to it by a current Flight Medic attached to 160th. https://www.Gomez-Training.com
