Jack Garratt - Weathered (Live @ Heaven for Warchild BRITs Week 2016) This was a very special night, Jack was raw and emotional, possibly exhausted from all the pre-album launch effort. This song seemed to perfectly capture the love that was shared between an artist on the cusp of a major event, and an audience with him every step of the way. Special thank you to all the crew at Heaven who were exceptionally caring and friendly. The sound in the club was great, clear highs and big lows with no hint of muddiness, boominess or shrillness. The iPhone microphone does a great job of capturing the sound, it's better than the bootlegs we had in the 80s, however it copes with the huge dynamic range by compressing the loudest parts - you can here this in the way that Jack's vocal drops in volume when the Kick drum hits.
