Welcome to Koh Mak, a sleepy island in the Gulf of Thailand, known for its pristine beaches, clear turquoise waters, and laidback atmosphere 🌴 There’s no party scene here so it won’t be for everyone, but if you want good beaches, great food, and peace and quiet, there’s nowhere better. Koh Mak is situated close to other popular islands like Koh Kood and Koh Chang, and I’d recommend visiting all three whilst you’re here. How to get there 🛥️ The journey to Koh Mak is a long one, which I imagine puts most people off, but trust me, it’s worth it. You can take a bus from Bangkok to Trat (approximately a 5-hour journey) and then catch a ferry to Koh Mak, which takes around an hour. Alternatively, you can fly from Bangkok to Trat to skip the long bus journey. Things to do 🐠 Koh Mak is a small island and there’s not loads to do here, but therein lies its appeal. There’s great beaches scattered about the island and I’d recommend hiring a scooter or a golf buggy (a very popular mode of transport here) to explore. It’s a great place to snorkel and dive, and you can’t miss a day trip to nearby Ko Kham island, located just a short boat ride away. Where to eat and drink 🍚 Grab sunset drinks at Blue Pearl Bar or Thai Sabai, and dinner at M.A. Bistro, 12 Bar and Q Bar Restaurant #thailand #thailandtravel #thailandtrip #thailandonly #thailand🇹🇭#amazingthailand #thailandonly #travelthailand #visitthailand #kohmak #explorethailand #thailandtravels #adayinthailand #beautifulthailand #thailandonly #thailandinstagram #lovethailand #lostinthailand #amazingthailand #igthailand #thailande #asiatravel #asiatrip #visitasia #travelasia #discoverasia #exploreasia #travellingasia #travelblogger #uktravelblogger Quiet Thai islands | Best islands Thailand | Best Thai islands | Beautiful Thai islands | Where to go Thailand |Thailand itinerary | Most beautiful islands in Thailand | Most beautiful places Thailand | Must see Thailand | Must visit Thailand | Places not to miss in Thailand
