The Hydra sorceress is one of the strongest sorceress builds in the game (in end game gear - easily competing with nova, which itself even beats out blizzard for all but boss farming, while hydra does both well). Though, a lot of people focus solely on the end-game perks of the skills - but often forget that hydra orb is one of the easiest builds to actually progress with too, unlike its main competitors.
