Peace be upon you and Allah be upon you @KisahIslamTV The little-known story of Prophet Idris (peace be upon him). Prophet Idris wrote about the land of Atlantis. There are several stories about Prophet Idris (peace be upon him) that are quite interesting to learn about. However, these stories lack accurate sources. They may originate from Israiliyat stories or word-of-mouth stories whose veracity cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, we will not include these stories in this broadcast. Nevertheless, in an effort to broaden our references and insights, we would like to examine the historical records related to Prophet Idris (peace be upon him). This should of course be accompanied by a critical attitude in responding to them. This is because these historical records may still be assumptions that cannot be fully accepted unless there is evidence to prove their truth. This idea arose in response to the discovery of an ancient book or manuscript allegedly written by Enoch, none other than the Prophet Idris (peace be upon him). At first glance, this seems logical, as Prophet Idris is known as the first person to possess literary skills. The ancient manuscript also mentions a lost land swallowed by the ocean. It is believed that this land was called Lemuria or Atlantis, a land discussed by historians for centuries. This indicates that Prophet Idris was at least familiar with this lost land. The narrative in the ancient manuscript seems to be connected to the story of Cain and his descendants, known as the Banu Cain. They were known as a disobedient people who committed many sins on earth. However, they possessed intelligence and strength, enabling them to construct tall and luxurious buildings for their time. When Prophet Shith (peace be upon him) came to Banu Cain, Shith defeated Cain and killed him, as instructed by his father, Prophet Adam (peace be upon him). After Cain was killed, Prophet Shith and his army returned home. Prophet Shith did not kill any of Cain's descendants. He only killed Cain, as instructed by Prophet Adam. Nothing more. Although there is another version of the story, according to which Shith killed Cain and wiped out all of Bani Qabil. After that, Prophet Shith died. Then, Prophet Idris (peace be upon him) appeared, sent by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala to correct the behavior of Bani Qabil and return them to the right path, namely the teachings of monotheism. However, Bani Qabil strongly rejected Prophet Idris's preaching. They even threatened Prophet Idris and his followers, leading Prophet Idris to emigrate to Memphis at Allah's command. If this story is authentic and valid, it can be understood that Bani Qabil was truly disobedient and relentless in causing destruction on earth. In the end, their country, with all its highly advanced civilization, was sunk into the ocean with them, leaving nothing left. This was the just reward for the arrogance of the Children of Cain. The question is, were the Children of Cain really the inhabitants of Atlantis, which sank to the bottom of the ocean? And did Enoch or the Prophet Idris really write about the fate of the Children of Cain, the unfortunate inhabitants of Atlantis? Did Prophet Idris write about this heartbreaking tragedy from afar after he and his followers migrated to Memphis? The answers to all these questions are still relative. The Quran doesn't recount it. Neither does the Bible. So, the truth is still fifty-fifty. Another surprising thing is that the ancient manuscript also tells of a futuristic event, a great flood. The Book of Enoch records this event, and it did indeed occur during the time of Prophet Idris's great-grandson, Noah (peace be upon him). Enoch surely recounted this devastating event based on revelation from Allah, the Almighty. We know that in the Qur'an there are many verses that tell about events that will occur in the future. The events have not yet happened, but have been described in the Koran, such as the events of the Day of Judgment and life in the afterlife. Thus, it could be that the land of Atlantis is indeed related to the children of Qabil's descendants, all of whom were destroyed without any remains, so that the children of Qabil's descendants had their lineages cut off. There were no surviving descendants of Qabil after that incident and his lineage had been cut off at that point. This is reasonable, because many Islamic scholars say that all the descendants of the Prophet Adam to date come from the Prophet Syits 'alaihis salam. The descendants of children other than Prophet Syits have all been wiped out, including the children of Qabil's descendants. Wallahu a'lam. #Islamic stories #prophetic stories #prophetic stories
