[email protected] In the late evening of February 8th, Winter Storm Maya began to really ramp up dumping the second highest daily total of 6.4 inches in Seattle. That is also the second snowiest day in Seattle in the last 20 years. And the storm is far from over, with the Winter Storm Warning going until 4PM. They are expecting greatest accumulations between now and 8am. Conditions around Seattle greatly deteriorated, with major freeways and side roads completely covered in snow. The night crowd seemed to be having a whole lot of fun in the Snowpocalypse. The northerly wind has kicked in, ushering arctic air into the region. Some of the snow bands were the heaviest I have ever seen in this area. I measured 1- 1/4 inch of snow at Pike Place, and 2-1/4 inch of snow at the U-district. Live streaming will commence at 1:15AM
