https://www.flippingfifty.com/hnb-cha... video 2 in a series of 3 Energy & Weight Loss block 2: Eating Healthy Foods Defined Decades Ago There are three things wrong with this – first the foods we eat are not the same quality as those we ate when we were young. The quality of the soil is lower, thus the nutrients in the foods is lower. The amount of chemicals used during growth is also increased as is our overall exposure to toxins and need for more while we’re actually getting fewer micronutrients. Then because of hormonal changes and increased stressors your body is not absorbing, digesting, or eliminating optimally. That is all, if you’re eating enough. Most women abiding by Weight Loss block 1, are eating less remember. A study done reviewing some of the most widely accepted health diets (DASH, Mediterranean, vegetarian, Paleo, for example) to see how many calories a day you would have to eat on those diets in order to reach even the RDA (now widely accepted as only a basis to avoid disease, not to provide health). The range depending on the diet was 21-27,000 kcals/day. That’s not a suggestion. That would be ridiculous. And your skipping breakfast or lunch and eating a salad for dinner is not going to cover it. Exercise: Track your food intake for a day. Use an app if you like. Focus less on calories – though do look at it. Quantity matters, yet quality matters most since it often takes care of quality. Look at it all when you’ve done a day, or three so you have a good snapshot. How much protein, fat, carbohydrate, fiber, and micronutrients do you get? Do you understand the amount of protein you should get and when? Do you understand when the ideal time for carbohydrates across your meals is? Do you know how much omega 3 fat you need daily? Do you know your micronutrient levels to understand how to supplement? Or know if you’re absorbing enough? Do you know what foods cause you to feel bloated, heavy and resist weight loss? https://www.flippingfifty.com/hnb-cha... Watch for video 3 of this 3-video series soon. Miss video 1?
