The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Monday suspended the order directing the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to conclude the PTI’s foreign funding case within 30 days. An IHC division bench, comprising Chief Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Babar Sattar heard the PTI’s intra-court appeal against the directive of a single bench of the court. The names of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, his son and Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz, PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz have been removed from the Exit Control List (ECL) under a new policy of the incumbent government. Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Friday said that the newly elected government had brought about changes in the rules for placing an individual's name on the no-fly list, and through it, several thousands of people will have their names removed from the list.
