Chrono Trigger - Winter/Holiday Music Mix

Chrono Trigger - Winter/Holiday Music Mix

Well well well, this marks the start of the exciting period of holiday videos that'll be coming shortly! I had votes on a couple of them, so expect the winners of that poll to get videos fairly quickly. But I wanted to do this separately, not as a poll, as it's pretty much the last of my major Chrono Trigger videos Pre-C&D that hadn't either been reuploaded or revised. Speaking of, I know it's a gamble to put some official covers in this video, but just consider it a holiday treat! Art from Chronicles of Time, a wonderful album you should check out if you have the time! https://www.chroniclesoftime.net/ Albums featured: Guardia: The X-Strike Sessions: https://x-sessions.bandcamp.com/album... Epoch: https://bandcamp.materiacollective.co... Artists Featured: Dale North:    / dale north - topic   The Consouls:    / theconsoulsband   Sean Schafianski:    / sschafi1   Highfire:    / hfotmusic   Midi Music:    / midimusic   Malcolm Robinson:    / malcolmrobinsonmusic   haconiwa:    / haconiwa   Lauriane G:    / @laurianeg.   Ryan Lafford:    / @ryanlafford   0:00 - Wind Scene (Official Xmas Cover) Ah, now let us hope Square Enix doesn't kill me. We all know how that went last time! Anyway, this song is great. 3:37 - Peaceful Christmas (Dale North) This is definitely peaceful, that's for sure! I tried to mix in a good variety of upbeat/jazzy jams and more quiet stuff. I hope I did a good job! 6:56 - Schala's Theme (Official Cover) As Kel from OMORI would put it, "So majestic... So beautiful..." 11:00 - Corridors of Time (Lena Raine) I wasn't expecting to find a Lena Raine Chrono Trigger cover, but I sure did! Such a beautiful and emotional version. 14:54 - Band of Time (Jeff Swingle) This version of The End of Time always had a winter-y feel to me. I can't even name a particular setting, it just exudes good vibes. 18:57 - Singing Mountain (The Consouls) Now this is just chill. Singing Mountain and Jazz = Perfection incarnate. 23:47 - Zephyr (Sean Schafianski) Sean Schafianski is quite the talented artist, and this wonderfully chill version of Wind Scene cements that. Probably would sound great listening around a fire or something! 27:03 - Christmas with Marle (Highfire) A bit of a lower-intensity one. I quite appreciate this piece. 29:54 - Schala's Theme (Micheal Hoffmann) This one's on the more melancholy side, but it most certainly is a delight nonetheless. 33:02 - Corridors of Time (Midi Music) I really like the style of this cover! It's always nice when covers have a certain feel to them, using instruments to express more than just the notes, you know? 36:47 - The End of Time (Malcolm Robinson) The End of Time is a song I've always associated with campfires and fireplaces, mostly due to the campfire scene (my favorite scene in a video game!). So I always imagine drinking something nice while listening to a crackling fire when I hear this. 39:05 - Wind Scene (Official Cover) One of my all-time favorite versions of Wind Scene. Once again please don't kill me Square Enix. 43:34 - The lavoscore (haconiwa) This piano one is always nice. It makes me feel like I'm driving home on a late winter night, the light of the moon shining on the fresh snow. Perhaps that's an odd description for a cover of a Lavos battle theme, but it's nice! 48:24 - Corridors of Time (Lauriane G) I forget how I first stumbled upon this masterpiece, all I know that is most certainly is perfect for this time of year! 51:16 - Schala's Theme (Ryan Lafford) The three versions of Schala's Theme I've featured here are the most beautiful versions I've seen. 56:08 - Epilogue (Malcolm Robinson) I haven't featured Malcolm Robinson as much as I did in this channel's past life, but that's just because there's so many people to share! I hope you enjoy the few of his masterpieces I selected for inclusion in this mix. 58:37 - To Far Away Times (Malcolm Robinson) I remember listening to this right as the year changed to 2020. It was quite nice. Happy holidays!
