The Excavation of ALA-331
After I presented a virtual lecture to ANTH 431 at Cal State East Bay, a student asked me about the excavation of ALA-331. ALA-331 is a shellmidden located on the shore of San Francisco Bay, near Coyote Hills. It was excavated by the archaeological field class from Cal State Hayward (now called Cal State East Bay) in Spring 1974.
