CORE COMMITTEE MEETING OVER NAGA POLITICAL SOLUTION

An all member core committee of the parliamentary committee meeting was held on Monday at Chumukedima Police Complex’s Rhododendron Hall. At the meeting, the committees discussed on the Naga Political Issue. The NNPG’s were the top leaders at the meeting. while, it was also attended by CM Neiphiu Rio, Deputy CM Y. Patton and various other ministers. UDA Chairman, T.R Zeliang opined that it was the second time the 7 NNPG’s came together for Naga Solution. The core committee requested the NNPGs not to have a paper war with any other political group by letting the interlocutor come to a conclusion. It is to be mentioned that Rio, Patton & Zeliang will be visiting Delhi on March 10 to meet the central leaders including Home Minister and to discuss on what could be the best possible thought for the central government about the Naga solution. Regarding the speculations that the interlocutor was supposed to hold a meeting with the 7 NNPG group and NSCN-IM, Zeliang evoked that he wasn’t aware of the meeting. However, the interlocutor was supposed to meet CM Rio, Patton and Zeliang which failed due to election. Zeliang concluded that the Naga leaders will be meeting the central government and on behalf of the groups hear the last words from GOI .
