The all important weekend is upon us, and what a nice one it will be. Surface high quickly sliding out of Canada will scour away any clouds this morning and give way to abundant sunshine with highs around the mid 70s. Some that night may consider switching on the heater as overnight the mercury is expected to dip around 50, with outlying areas witnessing upper 40s. Sunshine will continue both Sunday and Monday with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70s and over night lows in the 50s. Next rain chance occurs both Tuesday and Wednesday before a major push of cooler air spills across the area in the days to follow. Chief meteorologist James Zahara
