Is SUPERCHARGING a Lotus Elise Worth $10,000? Should you supercharge your Lotus Elise? A viewer asked me if I have plans to supercharge my 2007 Lotus Elise (111R). There are a number of pros and cons to supercharging an Elise. If I were to supercharge the Elise, I would almost certainly go with the factory OEM supercharger kit, as featured on the 2008+ Lotus Elise SC models. I've talked to my dealer and the total cost for the kit + install is right around $10K. At $10K, the question becomes whether or not it's a good idea to supercharge the Elise I already own, or sell it and buy a factory supercharged model. Now that Elise SCs are starting to come down in price, this is something I have to consider. However, I love my personal car and if this channel would be interested in watching the journey of supercharging my Elise unfold, it's something I would consider. I love the fact that the car currently has a high revving, naturally aspirated engine...so I really must drive an SC before I make up my mind!
