Von der Leyen says Europe to support Ukraine for 'as long as it takes' as Zelensky asks for missiles

Arriving by train, Mrs von der Leyen also announced €100 million to support damaged Ukraine schools, as she visited Kyiv for talks on closer integration with the bloc. The EU chief said Thursday that war-torn Ukraine would have Europe's support for "as long as it takes". She added that the accession process for Ukraine, which gained EU candidacy status in June, "well on track". While Mr Zelensky, who boasted the recent retake of 6,000km2 Ukrainian territory, focused on the weapons aid, detailing missile launching systems the "100% priority". Germany meanwhile announced it will send 50 “Dingo” armored vehicles to Ukraine. And European citizens are bracing for spikes in energy prices as winter approaches. __________________ Powered by Shanghai Media Group, ShanghaiEye focuses on producing top-quality content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube.
