How to Fit Insulation and a Vapour Barrier | Idiot's Guide | DIY Sprinter Van Conversion UK

For the insulation I decided to go with insulation board for the larger areas of the van and then fill the voids with recycled bottle wool. I then covered the whole lot with a vapour barrier to keep the moisture out. Applying the insulation board and bottle wool was fairly straightforward and it was quite nice not having to use power tools for a change. When it came to the vapour barrier, it was a little challenging fitting large sheets into place on my own, but as it’s a light material you can simply stick the first bit to the inside of the van and then gradually work your way along the length of the van. To finish, I went round the seams of the vapour barrier with aluminium tape. If you have any questions feel free to leave a comment below.
