Thor, RWE's ambitious offshore wind farm, will be situated in the North Sea, approximately 22 kilometers off the west coast of Jutland in Denmark. With an impressive capacity of 1000 megawatts (MW), Thor has the potential to generate clean electricity to power over 1 million Danish households. This significant contribution is equivalent to powering one out of every three households in Denmark, making a substantial impact on the country's renewable energy goals. Notably, Thor will also pioneer the use of Siemens Gamesa's GreenerTower technology. These steel towers are designed to minimize carbon dioxide emissions, showcasing RWE's commitment to reducing their environmental footprint.
