Thunder Saloons | Silverstone International | Race 1 2021 | Stuck in 4th Gear!

Qualifying didn't quite go according to plan with a 139mph blow out at the end of the Sir Lewis Hamilton straight (not the Hangar Straight as I mis named it in this video). Was looking forward to a fun race through the pack from 14th position with the hope of challenging for a class win and maybe an overall podium. Sadly the gearbox linkage had other ideas, so instead we did the whole race in 4th gear. Still, a best time of 1:12.56 stuck in 4th isn't too shabby! Sorry for the slightly wonky camera angle, the marshal who helped me recover the car after quali knocked the camera and I hadn't noticed. Fixed it for race 2 though. Big thanks to Gee Sport   / gee-sport-ltd-242724989129768   for the never ending task of chasing down and fixing all the random problems this car throws up. I've finally got a map with real mid range and instant throttle response, cracking work :-) For regulars to the channel, you'll notice that the camera angles are different and there's more data on the screen (RPM and Throttle position). More data overlays to come once Gareth has finished his CAN-BUS magic!
