The telephone menu system basically catches you out, then unceremoniously hangs up. I have tried very hard these last 3 months to deal with the HMRC - Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs. But, you fill in forms online for 45 minutes, then when you try to 'submit' this, they crash, tell you to pointlessly call somebody or other (tech suppport). Telephoning, they have a highly complex menu system designed to block you getting through. Essentially, THE HMRC ARE CLOSED. I will now have to send screenshots of the form I filled in - usually systems SAVE as you go along, you can login later to complete the task - NOT with HMRC. They use a private contractor Concentrix, based in Brighton for us, it's as far as they can get without going into the English Channel. Operation stack part II. Shocking, head in the sand job. I literally can't talk to the taxman, he does not want to know.
