The SMMG Singing Ambassadors "Payapang Daigdig" and "Wind Beneath My Wings"

The song "Wind Beneath My Wings" was popularized as the theme of the 1988 film Beaches, which followed the lives and challenges of two best friends as they navigated life, loss, and success. The song encapsulates how friends become each other's source of strength and inspiration. Hence, the Sorsogon MMG Singing Ambassadors (SMMGSA) dedicated their performance in the recent MMG Federation National Choral Presentation 2025 to their friends, families, and the entire SMMGHHSC community-for being the wind beneath their wings! The SMMGSA performed "Payapang Daigdig" by Felipe de Leon under candlelight, and "Wind Beneath My Wings" by Silbar and Henley. The group was conducted by Musical Director and Choirmaster Mr. Edwin J. Balgemino, with Ms. Sarah Salipadayango as accompanist. The presentation was held at the Citadines Manila Bay Hotel, Pasay City, on December 6, 2025.
