Armed forces brave nature's fury

The Army, Air Force and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) have been pressed into action and massive rescue operations are underway across three states that have been battling with torrential rains. The armed forces have launched massive rescue and relief missions across the Northern states. While the Army pressed 5000 jawans into its rescue operation 'Ganga Prahar', the Air Force launched 'Operation Rahat' to evacuate stranded pilgrims. The jawans have a tough challenge at hand to ensure that the thousands of stranded pilgrims are brought to safety.
