The Perfect One Day Itinerary for Rome (2026 Travel Guide)

Join me as I spend the day in Rome visiting some of the cities most famous attractions including the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, the Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. I start the day with a free walking tour around Rome seeing Palazzo Venezia, Palazzo Bonaparte, Campidoglio Square, Michelangelo's Home, Trajan's Column and the Cathedral of St. Ignazio. After the walking tour I visit probably the most famous site in Rome, the Colosseum and spend a good hour just soaking up the views as I walk around the amphitheatre. After the Colosseum I get lunch and then explore the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill.
