TUT students say the outsourcing of NSFAS meal allowance payments is money laundering

The Tshwane University of Technology students have labelled the outsourcing of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme meal allowance payments as money laundering by those in power. This was after a third-party agent was appointed to facilitate the issuing of meal allowances, as opposed to NSFAS paying the allowances directly to the students. The students blockaded entrances to the TUT's Pretoria West campus, calling on Higher Education Minister Dr Blade Nzimande to intervene.
