The Dare County Board of Education will meet in special session on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., at First Flight High School. The purpose of the meeting is for the Board to meet with the Board of Education attorney in closed session to preserve the attorney-client privilege as provided in N.C.G.S. 143-318.11(a)(3); and to consider confidential personnel matters as provided in N.C.G.S. 143-318.11(a)(6). The regular monthly meeting of the Board will follow at 5:00 p.m. Public Participation in Board of Education Meetings North Carolina Executive Order 215 has lifted the mass gatherings limits inside of North Carolina Public Schools. Thus, the Board of Education has decided to open up public participation starting at their June 8, 2021 business meeting. The meeting will be held at 1:00 pm in the First Flight High School School Media Center. There will not be an opportunity for public comments at the meeting, but the public is still encouraged to attend.
