Joe Biden tests positive for COVID-19
US President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID. The President – who is fully vaccinated – is experiencing mild symptoms and will isolate at the White House while continuing duties. White House doctors confirmed the 79-year-old has started taking a course of the antiviral treatment Paxlovid. They say the President is not at risk of hospitalisation, but doctors will continue monitoring for symptoms. First Lady Dr Jill Biden has not returned a positive COVID result.
