Former Mass. officer decertified for role in Charlottesville race riot

A former Woburn Police officer has been de-certified by a state commission overseeing Law Enforcement. Authorities say Officer John Donnelly helped with and attended the deadly 2017 riot in Charlottesville, Virginia. Donnelly resigned from the Woburn Police Department back in October. This ruling from the State's Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission will also add Donnelly's name to a national database of decertified officers.
