Just weeks after winning the Supreme Novices' Hurdle in fine style at the Cheltenham Festival - the first time the grey consented to jump off on terms for five months - had Labaik turned a corner? This effort in the Herald Champion Novice Hurdle at Punchestown suggests not... Lining up for the BETDAQ Punchestown Champion Hurdle just three days later, Labaik ran a fantastic race for a novice against more experienced and classy rivals to finish fourth. Injured in the race, the horse's racing career is in jeopardy but it's hoped Labaik will make a full recovery.
