However, we quickly realize that the current team's power isn't yet strong enough to win the Stone Badge, so on Route 116, Torchic evolves into Ember, which has a much better chance against Felicia's Rock-type Pokémon. The Red & Blue editions, featuring improved sprites, were released in Germany in 1999 for the Game Boy. This was followed by the first special edition, Pokémon Yellow, which contained elements from the anime alongside the first 151 Pokémon. After its huge success, it wasn't long before Pokémon Gold and Silver were released for the Game Boy Color in the same year. This time the setting was the Johto region, but it was also possible to travel to a slimmed-down version of Kanto. The number of familiar Pokémon increased with each generation. After the special edition Pokémon Crystal, the 3rd generation started in 2002 with the Sapphire, Ruby & Emerald editions in the Hoenn region on the Game Boy Advance. In between, the Kanto remakes Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen were released in 2004, before Diamond, Pearl & Platinum continued in the Sinnoh region on the Nintendo DS in 2006. The Johto region was re-released for the DS in 2009 with HeartGold & SoulSilver, and the Black & White editions in the Unova region ushered in the 5th generation in 2010. The 6th generation, set in Kalos, was released worldwide on October 12, 2013, for the Nintendo 3DS family, as were the Hoenn remakes Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire in 2014. In 2016, the 7th generation, with Pokémon Sun & Moon, was introduced in the tropical Alola region, with two alternate-story editions, Pokémon Ultra Sun & Pokémon Ultra Moon, released in November 2017. The additional edition, also called the special edition, of Pokémon Sapphire and Pokémon Ruby is Pokémon Emerald and offers several improvements. These include the brighter lighting of Rayquaza, the link between Kyogre and Groudon. The game features battles against both Team Aqua and Team Magma. Reanimated Pokémon (as first seen in Pokémon Crystal), a different Pokémon League Champion, redesigned Gyms, the introduction of the Battle Zone for the first time, more innovative and new Double Battles, the choice between Latias and Latios, all fossils of the Hoenn region, Deoxys's new Speed Form, an expanded Safari Zone, the ability to inherit DVs, and the ability to change your clothing. Pokémon Emerald, which was released in Germany on October 21, 2005, and sold over 6.41 million copies worldwide, represents the ultimate edition of the Hoenn region for the GBA. ✒ OTHER FEATURES: ▪ TITLE: Pokémon Emerald Edition ▪ DEVELOPER: GAME FREAK Inc. ▪ PUBLISHER: Nintendo ▪ SYSTEM: Game Boy Advance ▪ GENRE: RPG ▪ OFFICIAL SITE: https://www.pokemon.com/de/pokemon-vi... ▪ GERMAN RELEASE: October 21, 2005 ▪ METASCORE: 76% ▪ DOMTENDOS RATING: I'll present the pros and cons in the last part.
